Jan-Daksha Trust organized a healthcare workshop with 23 female migrant labourers at Nai village. The event began with a talk by health counselor Bhawna Shrimal, who discussed the healthcare services available at Maharana Bhopal Hospital. Mrs. Alka Vyas concluded the event by informing the labourers about the preparations they should take before migrating to cities, as well as safe practices to maintain while in an urban environment.
14 male labourers participated in a legal workshop jointly organized by Jan-Daksha Trust and Lakhawali Labours. During the event, speakers notified the labourers of solutions to common problems experienced during migration. They also discussed the importance of legal awareness, mobile phones, and maintaining a labour attendance diary. Additionally, speakers provided those in attendance with tips on how to prepare for migration into the city.
Jan-Daksha Trust, in partnership with the Labour Health and Resource Center, offered a legal workshop to over 40 labourers. In addition to presenting information typical for legal events (such as legal awareness or the importance of labour attendance diaries), the workshop allowed many of the labourers to discuss work-related grievances and receive legal counsel on how to best address their concerns.
