Jan-Daksha Trust, in partnership with the Labour Health and Resource Center, offered a legal workshop to over 40 labourers. In addition to presenting information typical for legal events (such as legal awareness or the importance of labour attendance diaries), the workshop allowed many of the labourers to discuss work-related grievances and receive legal counsel on how to best address their concerns.
Jan-Daksha Trust, along with the Aravli Labor Union and Aajeevika Bureau, organized an event that linked labourers and their dependents to various social security schemes and government benefits. Firstly, workers registered with the Labour Welfare Board Scheme received their benefits in the form of a bank deposit. Many of the labourers’ children received scholarships, while female workers claimed additional benefits under the Maternity Help Scheme. Over 200 labourers attended the event, which featured prominent guests like Labour Minister Mangi Lal Garasiya and M.P. Raghuvir Mina.
