Jan-Daksha staff met with the Sai Baba Garelu Kamkaji Mahila collective in the village of Ragunathpura on Tuesday January 15th. The meeting began with the planting of a sapling, a symbolic gesture which represents the collective’s strong roots and great potential for growth. After the brief ceremony, Jan-Daksha took the members to visit important local facilities, starting with the police station. They met with officers who explained how they could report any legal issues, such as harassment cases, to the police. Afterwards, the group paid a visit to the night shelter. The shelter offers food, beds, blankets, and even television free of charge to those in need. Jan-Daksha concluded the tour with Step Academy, an organization that provides specialty training at low cost, allowing hard-working people to advance their careers.
